Little Duke was put to sleep this morning after suffering critical injuries from a car strike, he was only 500g and didn’t stand a chance.
Duke was found late last night by members of the public, lying on the road next to his Mumma who also lost her life. We want to say thankyou to those members of the public for their swift actions, containing him, keeping him warm and it a quiet location until we arrived.
It’s those actions that have the potential to save a life, unfortunately on this occasion the outcome wasn’t good.

Remember, If you see injured or orphaned wildlife in Tasmania, call Bonorong on 0447 264 625 any time of the day or night.
