Ringtail Possum Found on Coastal Cleanup

Late last night we jumped in the car to go and rescue a teeny tiny ringtail possum who had been called in by a MOP. We assessed Mum and inspected her pouch, and we were greeted with twin ringtails. ❤️

We noticed some swelling on the tail of one of the joeys which warranted a visit to the team at Tasmania Wildlife Hospital. The diagnosis was three breaks in the tail on one of the joeys.

We are not entirely sure what happened to Mum, but are very thankful to the MOP who found her whilst on a coastal cleanup project on the North West coast and called the Bonorong rescue line.

The twins have a long journey ahead, but will get all the love, care and attention they deserve.

If you see injured or orphaned wildlife in Tasmania, call Bonorong on 0447 264 625 any time of the day or night.
