COLLABORATION & COMMUNITY

AS THEY SAY, IT TAKES A VILLAGE TO RAISE A CHILD….

We believe that the protection of wildlife can only be achieved through community and collaboration. By sharing knowledge, resources, and expertise, we can ensure that wildlife in Tasmania receives the best possible care and protection.

We are fortunate to have the ongoing support of the dedicated and compassionate team at Tasmania Wildlife Hospital (TWH). The expertise and care provided by TWH are vital to the work we do, as the majority of the animals we rescue are brought directly to the hospital for immediate triage and assessment. The team at TWH ensures each animal receives the medical attention they need, from urgent care to long-term rehabilitation. Their professionalism and commitment to wildlife conservation play a crucial role in helping us give these animals the best chance for recovery and release back into the wild.

Animal Rescue Cooperative (ARC) is dedicated to improving the lives of animals through a range of initiatives, from rescuing and rehoming to providing essential resources like food, care, and support for animals in shelters and within the community. We are fortunate to receive invaluable support from ARC Tasmania, who provide crucial supplies needed for the care of our animals. These include cuddle pods, pouches (crafted by the talented members of the Animal Rescue Cooperative Craft Guild), food, and first aid items. With their help, we’re able to ensure every animal receives the care and attention they deserve.

Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary is dedicated to supporting both native Australian wildlife and the rescuers working to protect them. In addition to providing direct care for injured and orphaned animals, Bonorong plays a vital role in assisting wildlife rescuers by offering training, resources, and expert advice. The sanctuary works closely with rehabilitators to ensure the best outcomes for wildlife in need, while also educating the public about the importance of conservation. Bonorong’s efforts help strengthen the broader community of wildlife carers and ensure the continued survival of Australia’s unique and endangered species through collaboration and shared knowledge.

We are incredibly fortunate to have the support of wildlife mentors and experts who bring years of experience and a deep passion for animal care. These dedicated professionals guide our work and help us make a real impact every day. By collaborating with them, we can provide the best care for the animals we rescue and protect their natural habitats. Their expertise ensures that we continue to grow and improve, while their commitment to wildlife conservation inspires everything we do. Their invaluable support is at the core of our mission to make a lasting difference for wildlife.
